For our buying clients, we offer $500 to you at closing. That money is to help pay for you having had a home inspected. We document that contribution in a letter to your lender to make sure that the lender approves of this based on your particular loan product. The closing attorney will likewise document this on the final paperwork.

When you list a home with a real estate firm, you also need to offer compensation to the real estate firm of the agent who brings a buyer. We can talk with you about the specifics of what we recommend once we know about the nature of the property and where it is located. When using our firm, the amount offered to the firm of the agent who brings a buyer will be between 2.4% and 3.0%. By the way, if we get buyers for your home who do not have an agent, then our charge to you is only the original listing fee. We do not accept additional compensation for two sides of the same transaction. You would not owe the buyer commission to anyone.
